It was originated from the &#8220;Ryogoku River Opening Fireworks&#8221; held during the Edo period. \u2728<br>On the day of the festival, about 20,000 fireworks will brightly light up Tokyo&#8217;s summer night. \u2728<br><br>With an increasing number of tourists visiting Japan, this year&#8217;s event is expected to be even more crowded than one year before.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This year&#8217;s Sumida River Fireworks Festival will have two venues<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"c-text-box lazyblock-text-box-yTH4I aligndefault aligndefault  wp-block-lazyblock-text-box\">\n            <p>Fireworks will be launched at the first venue around Kototoibashi Bridge and the second venue around Komagatabashi and Umayabashi Bridges. As the festival is held in the city center, there are not a lot of space on the riverbanks to sit, so the best experience would be to watch the fireworks while walking along the Sumida River.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Location of Kototoi, Komagata and Umayabashi Bridges<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"840\" height=\"559\" src=\"https:\/\/hoteltavinos.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/11\/skytree010.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1763\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<div class=\"c-text-box lazyblock-text-box-ZxjMdG aligndefault aligndefault  wp-block-lazyblock-text-box\">\n            <p>The Sumida River is well-known for its Azumabashi Bridge. It is also from there that you can see the golden object in the form of a beer foam above the Asahi Group Headquarters. The first venue of the festival, Kototoibashi Bridge, is located to the left of Azumabashi Bridge. As you can see, it has quite a panoramic view on the Sumida river. The bridge, which can be seen in the distance, is Komagatabashi.
